SARAH ABBOTT
Sarah is the most versatile member of our group. She plays a Bass Clarinet as big as she is, but she also composes, and arranges and transcribes many pieces in our repertoire.
She is a music teacher and has a successful solo and orchestral career. She plays clarinet/soprano sax in JazzMo Quartet (see links page), and runs a wind group No Strings Attached (see links page). She is currently working on her project "50 Things to Do before I am 50" - well worth checking out her blog!!
SUE EVANS
Sue has been playing the clarinet since she was 9. She has extensive experience as a Concert Wind Band player and plays first clarinet with Bournemouth and District Concert Band (see Links page). She is thoroughly enjoying the contrast of playing in a quartet, now taking on some demanding solo parts. She is also a senior Social Services Manager.
NICK HUNT
Nick was already well established as a clarinet performer when our group formed. For many years he has been leader of Bournemouth and District Concert Band , and he has recently started arranging and transcribing music for us.
He also plays in the Questa Musica Orchestra. He is the Deputy Practice Manager in a large Law Company.
JANET COOKE
Janet rounded up all the best clarinet players that she knew to establish the clarinet choir that evolved into Liquorice Quartet, and she continues to organise the other three.........she also plays tenor/alto sax and clarinet in Blue Tides and tenor/soprano sax in Mostly Jazz .
She is a retired Doctor.
