LIQUORICE CLARINET QUARTET

established 1998

HERE ARE SOME LINKS FOR YOU TO ENJOY:

In The Pink Big Band - where Sarah and Janet can show off their saxophone skills!

Bournemouth and District Concert Band - where we all met many years ago and still going strong. Nick leads this concert band, and Sue plays first clarinet

The Richard Ely Trust - a trust that we have supported for many years, which provides funding for young musicians who might not otherwise be able to afford to play

Sarah Abbott - her homepage with information about all her musical activities. You will find a link here to her wind group No Strings Attached

Blue Tides - a 7 piece (and 5 and 3 piece!) band with which Janet plays tenor/alto sax and clarinet

Liquorice Suite - this is a piece written by Mike Hall (head of jazz at the RNCM) for tenor saxophone and Liquorice Clarinet Quartet. It was first performed in Sherborne in August 2018. This is a recording of the whole concert, with Liquorice joining in at about 12mins 35

One and Other - view Janet's hour on the 4th Plinth in Trafalgar Square as part of oneandother by Antony Gormley. She's no Angel of the North, but the rain deluge halfway through her sax playing is priceless..........

Musical Chairs Summer School - the summer music school at which Sarah teaches
