Sarah Abbott

Sarah is the most versatile member of our group. She usually plays a bass clarinet as big as she is, but she also composes, and arranges and transcribes many pieces in our repertoire . She is a music teacher and plays lead alto saxophone in In the Pink Big Band (see Links)

Sue Evans

Sue has been playing the clarinet since she was 9. She has extensive experience as a Concert Wind Band player and is now thoroughly enjoying the contrast of playing in a quartet. She also manages a Social Services team and a young family.

Nick Hunt

 Nick was already well established as a clarinet performer when our group formed. For many years he has been Leader of the Bournemouth and District Concert Band, and he has recently started arranging and transcribing music for us. He is  a Deputy School Bursar.

Janet Cooke

Janet rounded up all the best clarinet players that she knew to establish the clarinet group (originally "Sarah's Clarinet Players" ) that evolved into Liquorice Quartet and she continues to organise the other three..... She practises Medicine (when not practising music !)
